Description

Good Morning Darlings ! Ok, every now and then a person's just gotta be weird...you all know what I mean...don't you ? :o) Seriously, the title, Burnt Norton, comes from a poem by T.S. Eliot (1888 - 1965) poet, dramatist and literary critic. Burnt Norton is a country house in the Cotswold Hills of Gloucestershire that Eliot visited in the summer of 1934. It belongs to the Viscount Sandon, son of the Earl of Hallowby. The house's rose garden is the main spatial scenery of the poem. Burnt Norton is a deep meditation on the meaning of time and it's relationship with human beings and the Christian meaning of Redemption. The first verses are the best summary of the poem: "Time present and time past Are both perhaps present in time future And time future contained in time past. If all time is eternally present All time is unredeemable." Y'all have a wonderful day ! ~ Love & Hugs ~ * Mina * Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Used to love T.S. Eliot in my younger days .. Still do, but have not read his work in centuries. The words and the Painting go together so well and effortlesly

Huh? What time is it??? I'm writing this in the present and when you read it in your present it will be my past? Then again,,,I'm writing this in the present and when you read it tomorrow which is the future, but will be your present when you read it and ...awe the hell with it. Cool pic Mina...I'm as confused as your picture.

Glorious colors!! It's abstract so we all will see different things; For me it suggests that the hands of time are scattered and meaningless when measured against the cosmic timepiece of an endless universe.

Now I know why I never have time to do all I want to. When I saw this title I immediately thought of the Norton virus scanner thingy. I like this abstract as you can see so many things in it and yes it is good to do different things.

Fabulous image that fits the work 'Burnt Norton'. This subject has the most profound significance to me. I understand the what T.S Eliot was trying to communicate, yet words cannot fully express the subject. If we can truly experience the 'Now', we get a glimpse of the timelessness that exists. I love the colors you chose. The are peaceful and speak of the restfulness of being one with yesterday, today, and tomorrow in the moment.
