Description

More "artwork from hospital" today... finally tomorrow I will go at home :) Event Horizon is a 1997 science fiction/horror film that was directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and written by Philip Eisner (with an uncredited rewrite by Andrew Kevin Walker). In the year 2047, faint radio signals from the starship Event Horizon are picked up on Earth. The ship had disappeared mysteriously in 2040; her loss was attributed to an accident. The ship appears to be in a decaying orbit around the planet Neptune, and the rescue ship Lewis and Clark is dispatched to investigate... This good film borrows elements from others in the Sci-fi and horror genres, such as Stanisław Lem's Solaris, 2001: A Space Odessey, The Black Hole, Alien, Aliens, The Dark Side of the Moon, The Haunting, The Shining, and Hellraiser. If you don't have still seen it give it a glance, because it worth. Portraited here is the starship Event Horizon orbiting planet Neptune. Best in Full-size View. Comments and rates are welcome! :) If you are interested to buy a print of this artwork just visit my Ebay shop at: http://stores.ebay.it/NY-FORM where you wil find more movie related artworks! :)

Nicely composed image with some fine modeling. However, I do not share your enthusiasm about the film, ranking it among the worst ever in the genre. Great pic though!

Great ship and I personally like the film, particullarilly Sam Neil and Lawarence Fishburn's Characters and there development through the movie. Wonderfull job you've captured the Event Horizon's haunting outline beautifully, well done ^^

Hmm, the scene is really cool, the movie was good until the point in which became nonsense horror... I remember the beautifully done ships in it, there was the last attempt to do SFX the usual way, with real miniatures and motion control camera filming. I recall Paul Anderson in fact being so proud that there was no CGI things in his movies...

Nicely done, captures the spirit of the movie quite well. I watched it for the special effects which were well done IMO, but nothing has scared me the way Ridley Scott did back in that dark and empty movie theatre late one night in Cleveland, Ohio = 1977
