Description

This one's for you Pete since you liked it so much this afternoon, and told me I should upload it! I know how special Dartmoor is to you. OK, to all non Brits and the geographicly challanged, Dartmoor is in Devon, SW England. Me and Pete live quite close (Pete lives a couple of miles closer I think)It's a wonderful place to visit, full of mystery and beautiful granite scenery. I photographed this one a couple of winters ago with a free Ilford Pro B&W film. No postwork :)

You know we've got battered Hawthorn trees like this EVERYWHERE in West Cornwall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However it is still a great photograph , Steve !

Now thats a great photo! The tree itself has enough character but with its surroundings and the tone of this image it makes for a stunning shot..also looks vintage which is another plus about it for me! :)

What a magical tree !!! If you be there at night i wouldn't be surprised to see some banshee's or faeries swirming around it !!! Superb picture and it really captures he mood well !!!

Wow - this is a spectacular photo, Steve!! Never been to Dartmoor, but have of course heard that it is wild and wonderful.......Devon is one of my fav places in SW England........you are very lucky indeed to live there!! I dream of retiring to that area sometime in the not-too-distant future, I hope :) Anyway - in the meantime I will put this photo in my favs, to remind me of the wildness and beauty of nature!!

First, What a wonderful capture ~ the B/W really suits this ole tree and the lovely country side. Second, thank you for the geography lesson as I thought Dartmoor was a college in Connecticut.
