Description

All year long, our season really doesn't change. We don't see the beautiful and colorful changes in leaves. Wish we did. All we see is this. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

I wonder how it would be to have the same season all year??? I do enjoy the seasons here even though we don't have them as extreme as some places. But you can take flower photos all year long, if you wanted to? Somehow it mst be nice to have an endless summer?!?! Aloha...

I couldn't tell you which I would prefer. I have lived in places where both occur. I always marvel and swoon at the sight of the maple leaves displayed in the fall - like watching peacocks displaying their plumage. But I love the green of new leaves and the bursting of showy flowers just as much. This photo is so beautiful.

I like your title and the capture of the flower, for me difficult to understand how life would be in Holland without seasons, 365 days tulips! This year it was a year without winter, and I did not like it!!, Have a nice weekend Henk

I had never thought of what you said! We are jealous because you see this all year but don't get to see snow and the feel the excitement at the rebirth of plants each spring. A very thought-provoking image!

Lovely Bloom~ ginger? Our spring is just starting here in middle Tennessee. My daffodils, bridal wreath bush, and wild plum trees are blooming. The plum is the first fruit tree to bloom in the spring. Tomorrow I will plant a few vegetables in my small garden, spinach, radishes, and green peas... I suppose I take the seasonal changes for granted. Your endless summer would be interesting to adapt to. You share a great deal of the beauty with us and we appreciate your images!

Super colours and details. Spring is starting here and the almond trees are in blossom. I've just planted the tomato plants and love the feeling of everything waking up again.

The cold and dead leaves make you appreciate the spring more, but I'd much rather see greenery all year round. Great shot, the fern above the flower helps convey a feeling of being in the forest.

I cannot say because all my life I lived on 45 parallel! But if you are not too sensitive to the cold weather I guess a year with all the seasons is better! A very well done picture! Aloha! :)

I'm staring out the window at brown grass and barren trees.... Green all year round would be a nice break G ..... ty for sharing your beautiful flower!!!

Dear Errol, As I said in the previous comment, we DO see the changes - and the constant beauty as you have would be nice at times!! I lived in Peru for a while - on the coast and near the Equator. It was the same there - or maybe even more so. On the coast the cold Humbolt current kept it between 68 and 72 degrees years round. Six hundred feet up the cliffs behind the town was the start of the plain that stretched back to the foothills of the Andes - it was a broiling desert where nothing grew except besides the rivers that flowed from the distant mountains. All the moisture pass over and rained back in the Andes - but never there. This is the Northern most part of the Atacama desert and in recorded history, there are parts of it where it has NEVER rained. Talara, the city is was in, had a tenth of an inch per year!!!!! It's amazing how the climate can be so different from place to place!!!! It's been a few years since I was last in Hawaii!! I'd love to return!!!!! Excellent photo!!!! Love ya!!! Hi Errol. I adore the different seasons here. They are so accute, like someone flicks a switch on a given day.. and all changes so quickly. But I hate the cold so much :-( We cannot go out this weekend because of howling gales off the sea. It is so bad the wind burns your face, it is so painful. Your flower is beautiful, so delicate, a superb catch. I would love some warmth right now... Maybe soon...Aloha. Diane.

BUT, you have floral extravagances that the main land only dreams about and fruit any where you go readily fresh without being on a truck for days or jets. stunning flower you have posted

Truely beautiful. I love the quixotic nature of Mother Nature here in New England, but I could do without the cold. BJ

I do not miss the cold, but I think I can understand what you say to some degree. Where I am in Florida, there is no color change from season to season, the green is there all the time. The few deciduous trees that are sprinkled here and there just lose their leaves, no wonderful colors as I had up North. Now the flowers, well Errol, they will never compare to the incredible beauties you share with us. [=
