Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, thank you so much sweetie, I just love this and am sending a huge hug your way...you have been so wonderful to me and now I get this exceptional image, You got my head up in the clouds Dave...I posted 2 images using Bryce so far...I'm having a blast with it...I lost the pretty one I made while you were tutoring me...the spider image saved over it and my start one but my lesson one stayed intact for some reason so am able to start out with it...Bryce has become my new passion and I am in no way perfect and probably should have written a lot of what you taught me down because I have forgotten some of it but I keep playing with it and like todays post I had to change it like 4 or 5 times to get the effect I wanted but finally got it...I want that green stuff back on my mountains but can't figure out how you got me to that stage but I will....thank you so much Dave, you are heaven sent and I love ya'...huge huge hugzzzzzzzzz.

This is beautiful Dave! And so glad that shahlaa loves it. Will definately check out her work as soon as I'm up and running.. I know I'm biased but when it comes to fantasy, I think the Pegasus is much more exsquisite than the unicorn. Glad to hear mom and little ones are doing well. Hope your having a wonderful week.

Silkylady
Dave, I believe you have outdone yourself on this beauty. Absolutely out of this world. It's a very nice dedication to Marlene also. I think all of the animals you do are really great. I'm hoping one day, I can do as well on these animal scenes. Love it to pieces. The coloring and texture is outstanding. BIG HUGGS...Silkylady...

Hi Dave quite the back yard you have here, exchanged the pool for a water fall good idea. I trust the Unicorns arent too hard on the grass. But Im sure you have them well trained and they fly from one end of the yard to the other. Well done young fella. Trust all is well in your part of the world. George !

Dear Dave, I'm always running behind!!! I really do try to keep up with everyone's galleries, but the "world" always seems to find some way to slow me down!!!!! Such a lovely fanciful scene!!! Love the waterfall and stream!! One of THE Boss' hideously rich golf buddies actually has a "waterfall" sort of like that in his back yard. I could retire on what he pays in annual property taxes!!! Love the "Pegasi," (a term you don't use very often in conversation,) and all the bright vegetation!! I'm glad you and Elnor are doing well - and that the pets are enjoying themselves!!!!! Super pretty spring scene!!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith PS - just in case anyone saw "version 1" of this comment - and noted the reference to "unicorns" - well - all I can say is that I'm not only a blond - I'm a tired blond!!! Hey - at least I got the mythical horse part right!!! Heck, I even had the right number of legs and stuff!!! PPS - and I fixed about a zillion typos, too!! Reminds me of learning to type. At the end of the class I could type 60 words a minute!!! (With only 60 errors!!!!) ;-)
