Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

Dear Dave, I think a more appropriate title would be "Dave is at it again!!" Posting that is!! It has been a LONG time since we've seen any new stuff from you!!!! Speaking of that, you and Elnor need to show us some more pictures of Tiny, AKA TNT!!!! Hope he's doing well!!! Hmmm - I seem to detect a certain trend here. That is, that George seems to have a certain disregard for your health and general well being!!! Hopefully you don't have him listed as a beneficiary in your will!!!! (Or maybe you do and that's the CAUSE of the disregard!!!) By the way, thanks for using a brunette for the 911 dispatcher. If you'd have used a blond, you'd have probably had her asking how to spell both eucalyptus AND pine!!!!!!!!!! (By the way, just for the record, I speller eucalyptus without looking back up!!!!) I love the greenish industrial stength background - that is so typical of municiple buildings!!! And the sad thing is, they are STILL building them that way. We did a thing for a private prison a while back (yeah - a prison) and the color scheme was MAJOR punishment just in itself!!!! Anyway - super cute post!!! I hope you and Elnor are both doing well and feeling well. I know she was under the weather for a while!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith PS - And don't forget about the update pictures of Tiny!!!!!!!!!

One of the things I get a kick out of is the way good ol Meredith begins all her comments. Dear so and so, you would think she is writing a John Doe letter of condolence. I take strong exception to her inference that I come first and my friends second, you Dave in this particular case. It's not my fault that city planners, politicians, etc., like to name city streets after trees you can't pronounce never mind spelt. Hell I'm an engineering man not a secretary and I have never bragged that spelting was my forte. Now lets take the current situation here at hand. I assume that we are out for a stroll and that you collapsed. Before I proceed It's important for me to point out that I do have a few character imperfections that one should be aware of. I tend to forget to recharge my cell phone and lap top batteries these high tech., devices will usually result in a dropped call and a short bout. Now to prove my point that you come first Dave this is what would happen in this particular scenario. ( 99.5% chance that both my cell phone, and lap top batteries have gone dead). I would hail a cab tell the driver to take me home double quick time. Once home I would re-charge the cell phone and lap top. (a couple of hours should do it). I would than bout the lap top look up the dictionary to find how one spelt that tree word, I would than jump into my car drive back to the location where you dropped call that 911 operator and give her the exact location where you could be picked up. I would spelt that street correctly for her to make sure that there was no possibility of an error in location. I would also mention to her that you are rather cold at the touch and that it is imperative for them to respond promptly to the emergency. I would then go home and contact Elnor to inquire as to where and when the funeral service would be held. I would then call back that cute 911 operator for a date. Meredith I trust that you now see that my friends are well looked after and that I come second to their needs. (Dave have we begun another series of the battle of the pic's)? Your safe with "George State". Trust me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
