Wonderful gothicy goodness. I love the softness of the shadows and great job catching the bump map on the carvings, I bet that was a pain.

Critique Ring Comment -- great. I really like the lighting, and the encrouching darkness. My only critical comment is that I think that the white stripe on her shirt (or belt, or bare skin) is a little too light -- it draws the eye too much. On a very positive note, I really like the fact that you used a textured background, and that there are bits of color in it as well. It speaks to me of a person who has been suffering from melencholia, where the world looks bleak, losing what joy and vibrancy life still has to the encrouching darkness of depression. It wouldn't have had nearly the same effect with a gloomier background, but would have been two heavy-handed with, say, a nice floral wallpaper.

i really like the darkness creeping across the page...but i would like the shadow to be less full....a little more hint of the background showin thru it and some nips on her boobies :D
