Description

This diesel locomotive caused me to think I was hallucinating when I saw it move down a suburban road in Boksburg, South Africa, its bottom section carefully hidden by the tall grass along the road. I was so intimidated by the abnormal load I had to stop and take a photo and then I did a bit of post work - and had some 3D fun.
Thank you for comments and well wishes on Happy Birth-Dai-sy for Jodie:

And here your skills shine once again! That WOULD be a real head scratcher to see that train making tracks down the road! What a fabulous display. Huh? It's Dutch?? ok... What does one pay for good 3D "training" these days?? lol

an unusual site no doubt. I never seen it myself.in Houston one can see enormous loads on trailers with 38-40 wheels including the truck.once I was driving close to the docks and a truck ahead of me had my view blocked and suddenly it went off the street and I seen why . a truck hauling a bull dozer with a blade probably 16' wide was hanging over into my lane.luckily I seen it in time because the blade was on a collision course with my head. excellent post work Piet

can't say I've seen a train transported by truck before, I can imagine how that must've looked behind the tall grass, and again with the cool presentation! ;)

Another wonderful effort, Piet. You are getting so great at these! If I may make a humble suggestion,( and I hope you don't take it the wrong way )...,you could go a bit further with these.Think of your postcards as 'real', on a real surface, and bend your cards accordingly. It will go a long way in terms of presentation. You already clearly have the skills. If it helps, do like I did, and take real cards and stand them on end on your counter. Then you can see where the light falls and where the cards need to bend...Just a suggestion. And once again, bravo to you on this wonderful upload.-M :^)

So when can I book for some classes in 3D work? You know I always admire your work - and hopefully we would see each other again - maybe you can couch me a little? Stunning work!
