Description

Just got back from a week in Hawaii, on the Big Island. We have over 1500 photos to go through, but I thought this would do for a start. I shot this wave at the southern end of the island, which is also the southernmost point in the US. Oddly enough, it's known as South Point. :-) Of course I'm hopelessly behind on comments; I'll try to at least look at all of them. Thanks for stopping by and any thoughts you might leave.

I looked at the picture before I read your comment and I knew this wasn't an Oregon wave. Wow, I can't wait to see the other 1500+ photos ...well, maybe not all of them. This is absolutely beautiful!

I have never been to Hawaii... are the waters this color? It's nearly turquoise! You caught the wave at a perfect time.

Sorry I missed you...I know how it is tho-, when I'm on vacation my plans change like the wind. Glad you posted this shot as now everyone can see that the color of the water is indeed this color. My stepson was married on the point last Oct. It's a great place to check out and enjoy~ Hope you got a good sunburn to show off when you got home!! Aloha~

I have never had the priviledge of visiting the islands of Hawaii but this picture alone truly makes me yearn for the experience. Beautiful capture! Amazing color.!
