Description

Two Thick-bills share a pinenut feast. The Thick-billed Parrot is/was only endemic parrot found in the United States. Once found in the high elevation pine forests of southern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. It is now only found in highland forests, pine forests and foothills of northern and central Mexico. It's endangerment is due to habitat destruction caused by the mining and logging industries. Rendered in Poser7 with my SBRM Parrots, branch and photo background (Chiracahua Nat'l Monument)
