Description
Just a little test render with the new Miki2, the NGMs and an old Miki1 dynamic dress.
Since the body shapes of the mikis are so close at least all of her dynamic clothing still works flawlessly.

Beautiful image, superb postwork!!!*****.

The only postwork is the signature, but I take that as a compliment if you think that there is.

i like the posing even though it looks like she has only 1 leg :D. the grass that shes walking on is too uniform- you can see the pattern oif the texture, and i would blur the grass towards the back of the image

Excellent artwork!

To follow up what zollster said about the grass, you might consider trying to vary the texture filtering on the grass. Another thing to try might be to use two or three ground props, each textured with a different offset on the grass. Separate them by a slight amount, and put splotchy transparencies on the top two. I stole this technique from, IIRC, the RDNA microcosm/macrocosm way of putting grass on top of rocks. You might also play around with the depth of field to get some blurring of the horizon and background grass.

critique group: since this is a really simple picture that looks like it's just trying out a new figure, i'll keep it short and sweet (for me). i love the pose. it's really natural and flowing, and it impresses me that it includes details like the hand position. i didn't even think about the invisible leg until reading the comments because the pose implies it. i think it's a great example of how you can leave much to the imagination of the viewer. and your light and skin are just lovely. i think some depth of field and procedural displacement on the ground would have helped make this more natural looking, but in this case they weren't the point. miki 2.0 is looking great!

I like the way she's posed and her expression is nice. The skin texture looks good. I agree with zollster about the grass.

Thanks guys, I have to admit though that the pose is just a default one that comes with Miki2, only slightly changed. Next time I'm going to use one of my own I think. I'm rather impressed with this figure especially when using dynamic clothing. The whole set up took like 10 minutes and that is with issue with my camera dots.

Yeah I agree the grass could be blurred a bit and maybe a darker shadow on the ground so you could actually tell she has a leg bent and its not just missing. As this was a test render I think it looks great and can't wait to see what you do with her! :D

For a test render it came out nicely. I like the hair and nice job on the dynamics.

For a quickie render with no post-work, it came out pretty good. Technical Notes ___ Just as the others said, grass looks a little odd, definitely needs a darker shadow I think, & reoccurring pattern looks a bit strange, but I have no idea how you would fix it.
SoCalRoberta
The hair, the expression, the upper body pose, and the dress all came out great!! I had to take a 2nd look to see the problems with the leg and the grass because it was her upper body and face that drew my eye. This would actually make a great 3/4 length image.

The dynamic cloth works great. The image works nicely, too, except the tiled looking grass background. Great experimental render.

Great test render. I love her expression. Grass in the foreground looks great but in the background the repeating pattern becomes too visible. Some DOF blur would fix that easily. Thanks for the tip on the dynamic clothing. Now I'm off to wishlist NGMs!
