Description
another quickie, not really much happening here just testing a method to randomize the grass pattern in the macrocosm and the validity of the freebie flamingo as a yard ornament.

quick but FUN

ok, two quick questions: how did you do the randomizing and whose flamingo is that? the randomizing worked very well. it has no more of a pattern than an actual field does, even if it is perfectly flat. i hope you share the node trick in the forums.

ok...this grass looks excellent and the flamingoes are just too funny! :D the womans' trousers are pokin thru each other and into the grass...also she seems too brightly lit cos the sky is quite dark, and theres a smidge of dust on the right hand side of the cloud part of the pic

I'll put a screen shot up later with the exact nodes, but it's basically using a color ramp, with a noise node for the value. 1 macrocosm. The flamingo is the CP freebie for this week.

The grass is cool. Looking forward to seeing the nodes. Where did you get the yard ornament flamingo?
thixen
The yard ornament flamingo is the CP freebie with the materials changed to a plasticy one with a chrome one for the legs.

The grass came out great :)

Grass definitely looks much better.

The grass looks really good and I like the effect you've achieved on the ornamental flamingo. Nice image overall.

Grass looks good. If you want to play with the image, I would recommend moving the woman a little to (her) right to balance the composition, and either having her shirt be a contrasting color or pattern, or a color midway between the two flamingos. Also, I can't figure out her pose, possibly because of those shiny shoes.

Good looking grass - great image and good fun. Did you use any displacement on the grass?
Greywolf Starkiller
Nice one! The grass looks VERY good. I have Macrocosm, but haven't had time to learn it yet. By all means, post the nodes. I always save valuable info like that. :)

The grass looks awesome! I noticed your girl looks kinda like Hildi from Trading Spaces.... or am I the only nerd that watches that show? LOL
