Wow! What a feast for the eye. Must have taken about 8 years worth of work from the looks of it (or a lifetime and ten years for someone like me). Thanks for sharing this.

A fantastic scene with an astounding level of detail & lighting that really creates a cinematic atmosphere. I particularly love that robotic thing holding the grate open, though this is jam-packed with so many other nice touches too...

fantastic, other-worldly great colors with a touch of Thomas Hart Benton thrown in. Nice to see something a little more unusual around here.

I could say awesome and leave it at that. But an essay i think is in order. I would say that this work is equal to your best. The use of the short focal length lens gives everything a distortion that naturally draws the eye to the drama in the shadows surrounding the central light. The best use of volumetrics that I have seen in some while. I started appreciating your work when I a was a novice at 3d. I am only slightly better, but NOW I appreciate how much has gone into the "production". Everything fits together perfectly including the poster on the wall farthest from the camera. I'm gonna have to sit and stare at the screen for a coupla hours and deconstruct this image. Kind of like I would at an art gallery. Thankfully I brought my own chair so it aint gonna be a uncomfortable experience. There is only one criticism. I think I recognise the P4 woman in the far left. She is pig ugly and not the curvacious damsel that I would expect thickening plots. Unfortunately there is an arrow pointing straight at her head highlighting it. You need to exhibit your work on enormous screens or on Hires Printed Canvas. You just cant appreciate it on the small screen. And when you go on your gallery tour, make sure you come to australia so that I can see the images in the "flesh". And dont expect a rating from me, its against my religion. Keep it real Matt, take no prisoners, and most of all dont take liberties with creativity - keep her alive and alert and full of caffeine.

Woops - sorry Dann-o - missed the question in there. The final render was in Cinema 4D... hence it being in the C4D gallery as opposed to Maya.
