Description

Okay... Rendered in Poser 6, postworked in Photoshop As usual, this did not end up the image I aimed for. But, lately, I'm suffering from stage-fright.

Pretty much the mood and feeling I'd have if it kept on raining! I like her expression, it sets the mood of the rainy day off, as well as the "adds" such as the bottle, which give a "rounded" finished feel to it. You can almost tell what she's thinking

A very good pose and scene assembly. Perhaps a little more shadow work around where the actor and props meet the floor. This, of course, is assuming the backdrop is a composited image. If so, Poser 7 has the new shadow catcher feature to add objects to photos and cast shadows onto the background in 3d. Still a very good image with a great mood. Cheers!

Well i dont know what your were going for ..the image itself looks ok but the image is so much smoothed/blurred that is looks a bit strange And the most strange is that the eyes are crisp.. It looks overdone in photoshop but that can be the way you wanted it..

Lovely pose and expression. But the girl, glass, and bottle do seem to be floating a bit. A little more shadow might help.

I love the setting - the scene and the props sets a nice mood. The colors you used also fit that mood very well. So is the expression. Very good. Only I would prefer a less blurred image and the brightness of the bottle is a little off compared to the rest of the image.

Expression and pose are exelent...a little blurry on the larger image the vein on her elbow looks abit vaicosed were the veins done in post? I would think they would be better added to the bump map....well done

Great lighting. Great choice of colors. Great expression. The blurring is a little too strong to my taste. And a little bit of ambient occlusion where her feet meet the floor maybe? And - although I don't know how to do it in Poser - the glass and the bottle should throw some caustics on the floor. A beautiful moody image.

The composition, pose and expression are very good. The bottle and glass seem to be like in a different "level" of existence. I mean, their material is... ethereal. It seems like in a dream. Maybe that was what you were aiming for. Maybe the ethereal aspect of the bottle and glass combine with the blurring on the character to create a specific mood. Anyway, the intention is not completely clear, at least not to me, but maybe it was your intention to do it just like this. Apart from what was already mentioned about the too much blurring and the absence of shadows, I also think that the pose of the pinky finger in her left hand is a bit forced, maybe it should be closer to the next finger for a more natural look.

Lovely composition, pose and expression. Mostly my thoughts have been said by others. Blurring is a bit too much for me - unless it was me who drank all the wine - in which case the blurring is just about right! I also think the veins work is mixed. The feet veins are excellent. The back of the hands are ok and the knees unfortunately look like scar tissue. I am guessing that they need to be a bit more transparent and darker.

Rain is a blessing, and shouldn't be treated as a tragedy. Without rain, all life withers! Without rain, no life can grow! Good render, BTW. DPH

Nice concept & render. Technical notes --------------- Just mostly what has been mentioned - lack of floor shadow around her, looks like she is floating; luminance of glass & bottle, looks strange considering darkness of scene.

I really dig the composition, pose and expression. A small problem - she doesn't cast any shadows, nor do the bottle and glass. You may want to export the image after rendering at 100 if you're exporting to JPEG, or in a different format, there are some JPEG artifacts on her knees. Very nice overall.

Stage fright? You're very good. Shadows... My reasoning on that would be that the light is very muted, and the shadows would be more like an abbreviated "smoky" blur, on the floor. Lou.

A very good work, and a decent expression on her face. I'm pretty sure I look like that too when the weather sucks. :) Only crit I have is that the image looks a bit fuzzy. My eyes tend to want to try to focus those for some reason. :)

stage fright? my first reaction when i saw this image was, "i really like this." it captures a mood and projects it onto its audience. looking at the rest of your images, you seem to be going for a very soft, almost painterly look. your work has a very contemplative, gentle feel and is a joy to view. right now, it seems as if you rely a good deal on blurring to achieve that soft look. i think that you could do more with some actual painting in photoshop, along with some smudging. also, you might keep the edges more clean by using masks or selections to restrict the blurring more. either way, fine details like veins look very out of place. her knees and elbows are smooth, but the veins on her feet are showing, which seems a bit odd. the lighting could match the scene a bit more. right now, her buttocks show a light coming from beneath her, even though the floor makes that impossible. there's a great deal of brightness behind her and to the left, but there's no evidence of light from that area on her skin, her hair, or on the glasses. and the glasses are a little too transparent. they look like bubbles, but i can't precisely say why. someone like bagginsbill could help you with glass materials. the background is lovely, but it has a lot of detail, especially compared to your main figure. i wouldn't suggest making the scenery more blurry, but you might make it smoother to make it more consistent with your figure and your style in general. again, i really enjoyed viewing and critiquing your work. i look forward to seeing more images from you in the future. have fun!

I love the posing and expression, very natural. I agree with the others about the shadows and the veining. If you're doing the veins within poser, try turning the bump/displacement value down a little. also with the glass and bottle, you may need to knock the transparency value down a bit for a more realistic material. Check the freestuff here for mapps and ajax's shader packs. I really like your composition and I hope to see more of your work.

I really like the pose and lighting here, the background is exactly the right amount of softening... On the figure herself, try not as much softening and maybe more of a smudging in the areas you wanted to fix. Also the glass and bottle are great and honestly you could soften the highlights in postwork just enough to make it seem less glowing. Then just add some blurred shadows uner the figure and glass and bottle. Overall I think this image is great and with a lil less softening I'd say you could almost go for realism :) cheers!
