Description
Like my title, the Republic 105D Thunderchief was an awesome contraption. Very fast and capable of transporting considerable tonnage.
Not much good for anything else really.
(Looking at my image I reckon I could have loaded a bit more ordnance if I had put it on top!)
From the above, you'll gather I'm back in the aircraft portrait business folks!
Don't worry it probably won't last.

I love it! it got in, dropped it's business and got out as fast as possible. Sounds like a good mission to me. I am glad you are doinf these again.

Love the strong contrasted colors of background. Really puts the attention on your model in the most efficient way !

Interesting photo, I recall that the photo recon version was well suited

Powerful image - just like the awesome "Hog" itself!

I've just been so busty with my pet project to remap Posette, that I haven't had time to keep up with my comments. Although I can only spare this a very quick glace, it looks to be a very good render. DO keep up the good work. David P. Hoadley

Why "Blunderbuss"? Because this was an ancient and fearsome weapon, which one loaded with all the spare bits of iron one could find. (I was NOT referring to a coachload of prenant teenagers).

It's not a lay down hand like four aces. It showed that the SA-2 and SA-3 were not either. So we play out the cards one by one. I came in late when half the F-105 force was gone and the first commander of the Wild Weasels was retiring. I stayed through the SA-6 era and the F-5 and C-130 first encounters with the SA-7. Toss bombing with nucs never happened. Compare it to a B-58 or an SSBN and it is a participant. The Falcon survives today as hit-to-kill in Missile Defense. Still a bit of willow-the-whisp but the highest commanders demand it. I'm not a veteran so pay no mind to the vortex shedding off my wings.

Excellent work!

Wonderful render. When I was stationed in Korea in '64 the fly-guys called it the "ThunderThud"! However, this baby could carry an incredible load of ordinance at Mach 2, and that's what brings home the bacon.

Trés impressionant!
