Description

Basically the same scene and POV as in my previous posting, but with a completely new "overcast" atmosphere. Also, I didn't like my Vue ferns, so I replaced them with some made in Onyxtree. Personally, I like this overcast version better. Perhaps because it is much more demanding, it's difficult to get the overcast look "right" (one of my never ending "quests", getting closer every time IMHO). And because the subtle shadows and global illumination is much more revealing (of any errors or lack of detail) than sunlight and deep, hard cast shadows. Some 8 hrs. render with Global Illumination (skydome type atmosphere). Thanks for taking a view, and for any comments etc. you may drop. Of course it's a bit recycled, hope you like it anyway. Had to go back to the other one to compare. I like the new ferns, but I'm kind of partial to the birght sunny atmosphere. It's my needing of spring to come, I guess. LOL. Both are excellent, though. :-)

Actually, IMHO, it's ten times better then the first version, simply because of how well you made the atmosphere and overall effects of the lighting/shading and much better depth to it and the feeling that it's no so much CG as the first version, which, BTW, was also really good, but this makes the first one now look sort of lame in comparison :) You can "really" feel the "air" in this scene. Thanx loads for updating this and reposting it, I love to see how people improve on previous images, especially when they do it this well. ...............md :) Rating from me went up from a 3 to a 5 now!
