Description

Another "test render" which wasn't intended to become a work worth posting. Well, I finally got the Bantam 3D / Grass3D "Twig" freeware program in a version that works, and I made some plants with it. I just made an ecosystem to see how the "final" versions would look like in one. And, you know, I really liked the basic outcome, so I added a few more objects, including the blue "cornflower" style plant from my freeware flower pack. Rendered with global illumination, I almost felt I could smell the air, and decided it was good enough to post. Not a spectacular piece in any way, but for me it has "something". Toolbox: Vue5I, Onyxtree (the bushes in the background, old stuff), G3D "Twig 10" and "Grass 10", and the blue flowers made in Plantstudio 2 (old stuff). Some 3 hrs. render with GI in "Broadcast". Corrections to levels etc. made in Photoshop. Thanks for viewing and for any comments you may leave. As always, they'll be very much appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

I'm running out of ways to say WOW about your renders! I don't know how you get such stunning results with those Bantam products. I always end up with something horrifyingly pathetic when I try them. You've got me looking in the grass to watch out for bees. ;-) Bravo!

Just magnificent! Like (I believe) Frank Lloyd Wright once said, "God is in details". You prove it everytime. The rock, the butterflies, the mist, ...

Great job Lars with the Bantam Grass. Here in Austin, TX, the blue bonnets are blooming now, and they look very similar to yours. http://www.janierichter.com/images/Gallery/bluebonnets.jpg
