If you follow the little stream that runs off the pond, go under the fairy bridge and past the giant oak, you'll come to the great falls of the Silver Mine. I have no idea why the falls are named that, no silver has ever been found there. On the right side of the bank in the shade of the old Elm tree, you'll see a stone cottage built many many eons ago, it's old. It is covered in Wisteria and vines and has a wonderful garden full of healing plants. There lives the Forest Witch. She is a kind and gentle witch, who treats the ills of the forest. From broken dreams and hearts to twisted tails, scrapes and bumps. On occasion, there is a serious happening when a fairy flies into a tree after drinking too much petal juice. But luckily that usually only happens in the spring during the blossom festival. I have never seen this phenomena and I'm not sure I want to, it apparently is not a pretty sight. It really knocks the stuffing out them for a while... If you come to the forest in early morning or late afternoon and hide among the ferns along the North path, you must be very very quiet though, you just may see the Forest Witch going on her rounds...
