Description

These are AT-AT vehicles from the second of the original (and best) Star Wars films. I haven't seen the film for a while but this is pretty much how I remember the Imperial Attack on the rebel base on Hoth. The AT-ATs are by JHoagland with new textures, but I can't remember where the snow speeders came from. The laser blast may be the wrong colour...I can't remember. Hope you like yet another foray into the world of celluloid science fiction. Iain

Very well done. I seem to remember the laser blasts being red, so you're fine as far as I'm concerned. Nice painting effect as well.

Great stuff - love the render. What was your original resolution - wouldn't mind seeing this larger, it's such a great scene!

The original resolution was about 1300 wide. A setting of 1.5 on the 70mm setting in Bryce 5. Any bigger and I'd still be rendering it now LoL I also used a bit or forced perspective by making the two closer ones larger. I created the misty look by plonking a flattened sphere with a cloud texture over the entire scene. Postwork helped as well. Glad you like it chaps.

Great image, but have to disagree with Empire being the best, that, in my opinion has to go witht e original, A New Hope.
