Description

A digital triple exposure of the Fashion Mart in downtown Los Angeles fashion district. Here a narrow street is packed with shoppers searching for deals and there is also plenty of counterfeit brand name merchandise. Anyone walking around with a camera, especially a 'gringo' is suspect, so in order to take any photographs the camera was hung at waist level, with the distance and exposure pre-set. It is only upon returning home when one discovers what one has captured. This technique of photography is best described as 'hit and miss'.
All images for this multiple exposure photograph where taken in Los Angeles, California, USA, back in August of 2005.
The concept idea is to create behind this multiple exposure is an admission ticket design for a gallery exhibit. This is the third image in a series of three.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and commenting. Vielen danke das sie die Zeit genommen haben meine Arbeit zu betrachten und darauf zu Kommentieren. Egmont

A very interesting series my gringo friend. They had these markets in Hong Kong and Seoul Korea, but one did not have to be so covert. ;'] A very enjoyable series, I especially like the mixture of B&W and color in this installment.

A great idea which will make a very imaginative ticket for a gallery exhibit. I do prefer the two which only have Admit One written across them once.

Excellent and very artistic work. Perfectly done!

For me this one works best of the three though all are superb. The colour and strong anchor point of the foreground figures lets me make more sense of the image while still retaining the busy hectic feel of the market. The other figures looking bcak into the scene helps the overall composition imho.

Oh Egmont, I am happy you have started showing up here again, Have often thought of you, wondering how life treats you. You really has caught the street life here, a wonderful mix and a great idea. Makes me once again thank life for living in my little village. I really enjoy what you show here, but happily from a point of distance.
