View from the 18th Tee (Tom Morris) on the Old Course of St Andrews: Aerial View
This was the shot i wanted to take when i took the golf ball out and took those surreal shots of it on the beach a week or so ago. That day was overcast, but when have you ever seen a golf shot which looked good in bad weather? ;)
Anyway - if you look closely the ball has the St Andrews insignia printed on it with the words "Old Course - St Andrews".
Enjoy (esp all you golf fans out there)!

This looks like one of those motivation shots. Hmmm a caption is what is needed....." the start of every career begins with your best shot" kind of thing :)

Great shot! (Hope your shot was great, as well!) I am probably the only person in the world who loves to watch golf but doesn't play! I even have a calendar on my wall at work - every month a different hole on a different course. It's very peaceful.

Great shot. Excellent POV - were you laying flat on your stomach to take this one?? Love the DOF, I'm still trying to master that one myself. Lovely little shadow from the ball. xx

I shall get there myself one day!! Just wondering about the DOF - you were obviously trying to get lots way out at F18, this is going to be difficult at 50mm though. Not sure if you were using the 18-55 here or what, but you get much more DOF at the wide angle end... Still if you'd just ran onto the course with your camera without paying you probably didn't have much time to think!! I think it's a lovely photo. Hope you get to have another go!
