Description

Wahkeena is the Yakima Indian word for "most beautiful". This is one of a breathtaking series of waterfalls we visited on our trip to the Columbia Gorge recently. If you like to hike and shoot waterfalls the Columbia Gorge along the Washington State and Oregon border is the place to go... We counted as many as a dozen major falls in about a 25 miles stretch of the most beautiful scenic highway in the Northwest... thank you for viewing... here's yer waterfall Aunt Bea... :O)

A superb shot of the falls, foggie :-) I have been waiting for these!! Incredible rush of water here. I can almost hear it!!! Would be slightly worried about you standing beneath this giant log :-(( Gorgeous work, thank you so much for hiking to get this for us all. It is indeed "Most Beautiful". I love the softnesst of the water. A wonderful dedication to Aunt Bea too. HUGS. Di.

I know it's not easy and often to see this view in your life ... log there in that position. You are lucky to find such excellent composition. Besides, I also like how it looks moist - those moss.

Wow a beautiful waterfall - perfect capture. It looks like strands of silk falling down the hillside. I could sit here for hours looking at this photo. Excellent work.
