Description

This one is the second pic using Jayne by AGentleMuse. This one is pure whimsy on my part. I had a 'cute' attack and couldn't get this image out of my head. Hope you survive it. :) DAZ: Aiko 3, Sensual Hair, Bassinet (bottle), Mongoose (boat), 2cute, Land of the Sun, Sea Dragon, Wharf Contruction set and Accessaries. RDNA: Sunkissed lighting set. R'osity: Jayne for Aiko 3. Greywolf

This is so cute! Who would have thought of this?! Great idea! Poses are great, lighting too. Composition very good. The water and reflections look very good. A great picture. The only crits would go to the wood (too smooth and too regular) and to the shadows on her right leg (grainy) and to the texture on the tank on the background (too smooth, too low-rez, maybe). Lovely!

Cute pic and the lighting reminds me of late afternoon in the summer, many years ago... sigh. Anyway, have to agree with what's been said about the woodwork of the dock, it could do with a bump map or some shadowy type post work. The crates and the barrel though work well in providing extra interest... and ya just gotta love the dragon.

Oh, this is adorable... Great, great posing. I find it difficult to handle the big ones, you just whip them around and get what you want (or so it appears). This is a wonderfully whimsical picture and the only thing I would suggest is a slight ripple on the very still water.

Hmmm. The Wharf Construction Set came with weathered textures as well. I probably should have used those. I'll see what I can do about bump maps, for the drum as well. Shouldn't be too hard. I just wish there was a way to get some ripples in the water, around the boat and the dragon. :)

Great scene with excellent imagination. I tend to agree with the criticisms about the wood texture (too smooth and all the boards are identical) and the shadows (bit grainy). You can also fix a lot of flat textures in post work with judicious use of adding monochrome noise. You might want to try this for the whole scene then re-paste a render of just the figure, on top again.

hehehehe! adorable! fun scene. i like that your images always have the character doing something, instead of the ubiquitous portraits (both nude and in full costume) i and others tend to do. they always tell a story and try to communicate with the viewer. as such, you tend to create clear, graphically strong images, and this one is no exception. ways to get ripples: photoshop brushes for ripples and splashes. i think the image might have made a little more sense if you had baby-ified the sea dragon. but either way it's cute.

Boat and dock look too big, not in proportion to the characters.

Sometimes you just have to go with the cuteness! The wood textures on the dock are a bit bland though, and the water probably needs some more ripple to it. The dragon's horns are showing polygon edges as well - try checking Smooth Polygons in render preferences. The girl looks great, maybe she could grip the bottle a little better. I don't have any issues with the light, personally, I think it looks very warm and tropical. Maybe you could move the sun light a little bit and bring out some more shadow like Zollster suggests. Really nice reflection in the water :)

I was going to make the suggestion on moving the lighting a little. I though her right thigh looked just a little strange - but I am sure its the angle of the shadow. But a lovely idea and nicely posed

This is just too cute for word :) I think the deck texture works with the anime feel to the piece. But I have to agree with the others, a bit of ripple in the water would improve it. If the dragon is moving or breathing the water won't stay perfectly still. Do you have any water or wave brushes to postwork with?

Zorares, the boat and dock may look too big, but both are scaled to Poser figures. If I make them smaller, they won't be the right scale anymore. pjz99, it won't be hard to move the sun. RDNA makes excellent lighting sets and they are easy to manipulate. SoCalRoberta, I use PSP7 and haven't upgraded to the modern version because postwork is still new to me. I can do filters, heck, anyone can do filters. Brushes might make it easier, but I don't have any postwork brushes and never bought any because I may not get the hang of using them, and then it's money wasted. :) Gotta make my pennies count! Heh.

Lol thats SOME baby. THough, as a mom myself, i'd like it (just personal preference of course!) if she were looking adoringly AT the baby, instead of distracted from said baby and looking away lol.

I have just seen your image about 3-4 time today, and have tried to find some good words of "critique". But I cant ;-) I very much like the scene with the dragon baby much. Its fun and the surpriese (not so see a mother with her Baby) made my day!! As rendergraphic its from my point of view perfect! I only could say something about if you had planed a photoreal image, but Im really not sure if "photoreality" is your goal of digital artwork.

LOL, what a cute picture, made me laugh. The only neative thing for me is that it looks a little flat, probably from the lack of shadows, great concept though.

She'd better be careful that she herself doesn't get unexpectedly added to that baby's diet. ;=D Good job, though. DO keep them coming. DPH
