Is this the cover to your Manga? It's well conceived :) I would like to see a bit more light on the face though, and the color of the lettering against the background makes it a little hard to read. I do really like your choice of font.

Needs shadows on the sand, maybe some footsteps, too, if you can swing it. Otherwise--looks VERY cool, very powerful!

The pose is very well done, really natural. The outfit is great. IMHO, the skin lacks some highlights/specular light, it seems a bit dull. I dont like the ground texture at all. I dont like its color and it seems too low-rez. And because the color it's very vivid, I think it doesnt match with the sunset time, when colors should be softer.

Yup, have to agree. The figure is well done, the ground just doesn't do him justice. A bit of work on the lighting would help too. I know how hard THAT can be! Lighting STILL gives me conniptions. :)

The pose is great. I feel that the ground should be darker but the character should be lighter. Does that make sense? It's like the ground is distracting me from the character. I'll have to disagree with the other comments about the font. I can't read it. Actually I didn't even realise it was writing until I read the comments. I thought it was some abstract drawing or maybe kanji!

Your notes made me laugh :) And I mean that in a nice way, very funny after so many people take themselves so seriously - I can be bad like that myself. Very bold and macho walk and overall a good manga feel. I have a couple of small suggestions: Stronger shadow coming out from his feet to help the viewer understand where the sunlight is coming from; move the camera a little bit in any direction to get him out of dead center; and the font is difficult to read for me as well. Overall the lighting is a little strange, because there seems to be some front light on him, but that's OK, this is Manga, realism does not get in the way of a cool looking guy with a sword 30cm wide.

I love the huge sword ,it reminds me of Cloud Strifes sword from Final Fantasy Advent children.Shaman Quest is shaping up nicely .Great work .

Like the pose, but I would lighten the figure (maybe using specularity), and darken the background. Great pose.

Great figure, love the pose. It seems like such a potent figure would cast a big shadow. Cool concept!

The character seems very strong... and with Cloud's sword, he has to be. Shadows under his feet would improve the image because now he seems to float a bit. I don't like painted nails in a man, but it's just a personal opinion. The sky and the sun are very good.

Hmm, a very bold character; maybe he needs an equally bold and long shadow on the ground from the sunset. But the ground is almost as bold as the character and looks lava-like (sorry, just watched some documentaries on Hawaii, and have lava on the mind). It was the first thing I noticed. He might also benefit from some highlighting from behind (which seems to be my solution to everything lately :) ) It is a great figure, and the picture shows promise.

Very good indeed! 5+ I probably should say more, but I've got a backlog of over 90 fellow artist whose work I need to comment on, so please forgive my brevity. DO keep up the good work. DPH
