Description

~Life Come In 3 Sizes S, M and L~ Please I know tat this image is flawed. It was a terribly hazy day that I rode the eye, please feel feel to crit or comment. I suspect the shot isn't level and is a tad out of focus, I blame it on the round bubble gas and all the ppl in the eye, no that's no excuse. This is merely a fun post for all those who've never been to London.

Thanks for sharing this with us Vera. I find it kinda boring to look at as far as an artistic shot goes but it's not a bad shot though. Kinda lacks that something special IMHO. Hope you're keeping well there.

LOOOOOOOOL @ Kai's new avatar!!! ain't his eye is magical eye! :)) Oh well, stop talking about others while we are watching your post/shot/card! This is well composed Vera.. I like it.. And before reading your comments.. I was telling my self! What da hell!! Whats all that GAS and SH*T in the air!! Yakh! :)) So here is your excuse.. Dirty weather, sigh! Still you can enhance it under photoshop to get more realistic colours and contrast. But again.. Not a big deal. Now about your presentation. I don't think there are any postcards with black borders in the market.. I've been in this field working with many different countries and haven't see one yet! Number two... The lines showing what are those buildings are.. They are to bold and eyes distracting, sigh! You can make them 1 PX and then reduce the FILL or OPACITY to about 30-40% that will make them so tiny like the ones in some others people shots. The font can be more corporate because this is ain't a funny card right! Simple fonts, always win the game. Other then that! nothing else to say but awesome post from you dear.. And now me goto see what did i shoot for Jinet!! Its a real killer if you wanna see NATTARIOUS[C] COLOURS & Macros ;) Hugs and winks JOE

Thanx for this "post card" Vera. I never been in London, so yeah I like this quick introduction of some of the great buildings over there. A bit hazy but it is still ok....I recon London always hazy or covered with a thin smog...LOL

The last time I was in London the Eye was closed for cleaning! Thank you for sharing this with us because its just confirmed my fear of heights :) A wonderful pic despite the murky day.

I had that hazy problem the other week when I went to Anglesey - beautiful sunshine, but really hazy and all of my sea shots and landscapes look "naff"! I like this though because to me it somehow depicts what London is - a hazy, smog-filled city (or at least that's how I would imagine it!) I've only ever been to the train/tube stations in London when passing through to somewhere else, so this is nice for me - beats all those Beefeater postcards or Buck palace ones - that's not the "real" London in my opinion, they're for tourists! I think you have shown it as it is with an awesome perspective from the Eye showing some of our greatest buildings. Great shot Vera - at least you had the nerve to "fly" that high LOL! xx

thanks for this. Have to learn how to shot in all types of weather and condintions. I read that from a tip from a pro. I learning that too. I like the color on the bridge with the old buildings of the city. Guess they ads place on the bridge. Wish I was there

Great view. I notice the bridge has "commercial banners" which look colorful from far. Am totally cool with the hAZE.. cause its just matter of changing levels which should make the pic a lot sharper.

Hmm - 1st off - a nice shot - not spectacular, but nice. Boring no. The black borders on a postcard - have seen them - and even if not - no reason not to do it. :) As Graphic Designer I agree on the font critique. Readability and clarity comes before decoration. The lines - yes - a bit too thick - and you left out the Big Ben!!!
