Description

The pressure of the liquid lava beneath is pushing and causing the thin crust of lava rocks to crack. And out came a little lava waterfalls. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Oooh...now this is what I'd hoped to see last week while at Kilaeuea (man I hope I spelled that right without checking. lol). Got some nice shots, but didn't have the time to hike out to where the lava was flowing. Hopefully some day though. Mahalo. :)

Looks like a fire god opened a trap door to let some hot lava out to scare and warn those who venture into his realm! Excelent side angle shot!

Waterfalls it is! Those red/yellow and gray colors/colours really complement each other in all of your lava captures. Superb POV and textures in this capture! Bravissimo!

You closed out your hula series nicely and now I see you are back to the lava. I really like this one for the crack that runs down the middle. I am remind of a scab that has broken open with fresh blood oozing. An apt analogy actually, heheh.

Ionel...In that area where I was standing, the crust was a little older as compared to that one you see being broken by the lava ooze. In other hikes, we have walked over thin crust before but the lava movement wasn't as active like what you see here. Thanks for asking... Aloha
