Description
I used P7 toon shading, a flat light setup, and then LWP's postwork actions.
I had more notes, but the form ate them when I went back to add the advisory I forgot.
[Revision] -- I changed the lace on the cuffs to an opaque texture, and blended the hair texture with a solid color to make it fit the scene better.
BTW -- Bishonen means "beautiful boy" -- the figure portrayed is a character my wife runs in a "Big Eyes, Small Mouth" game we play.

Hi! A fine piece of work, indeed ... but there are two small points to say. I think the hair didnt really fit to the toon style and the aquarell look from the rest of the image. The stains on her hand made it looking much older than the lady really seems to be and is a little bit disturbing to me. Looking forward to see more. Regards Jochen

I love the way the background looks on this. Excellent style

Excellent work! I really love the colors and the style. I really hope that you will make much more pictures of this style and this colors.

I've never been a fan of this anime style, but it's well done, and looks very much like the Bishonen style.

Sweet !!! :)

Very nice!

I particularly like bishonen, and i indeed like this. However, i note a photorealism to the lips and eyelids that takes it a note out of the 2d toon genre.

Hottie hottie! Love bishies, and this one is really sweet! Gorgeous work, great combination of realism and manga. Awesome! bows to the master

This is beautiful, but a little disconcerting. There seems to be three distinct styles going on-- the beautiful almost pastel-ish background (which I love), the cartoon foreground and then the hair and eyes which look too real.

This is a beautiful bishie! And I really like how the life like eyes peer out from the anime gorgeous face :)

That's a really great watercolor look you coaxed out of the toon renderer, VERY nice. The hair actually came out a little too realistic, as Mr Nancy pointed out in the forum thread, but I expect you'll beat that problem down easily enough (you might consider just completely disconnecting the texture map and rendering with one flat color, and painting in the shades by postwork). The line of his cheek is also a little rough, I guess that is coming from the toon render trying to figure out where to put the line for a heavily shaded area - you might want to smooth that a little bit by postwork. He is very beautiful overall, and the shirt's shading came out REALLY nicely, the edges look very cool as well as the lace cuff. That arm pose is also really nice, very relaxed, very bishie. Well done, and a really unique look!

Lovely! Unlike some others, I see notheing here that demands criticism. Each artists has his individual style, and just becaus a certain style prevades overall, doesn't mean that each individual element has to adhere to that style 100% -there is romm for diversity. This is a lovely image, and one well worth recognition! DO keep up the good work. DPH

This is a total success. I like very much this watercolour effects and the sweet soft tints.

Very nice indeed. Didn't think such a thing would be possible with Poser, the right shaders and postwork. The BG reminds me of the style of the anime FLCL, in an abstract way (the style, not the setting). No real crit except that to me, the line on the top of the wall he's leaning on seems slightly too heavy and a little distracting. Other than that, it's pret' near perfect.

Gorgeous illustration!!

I really like the colors and tones in this piece, and the balance and composition really work. Just IMHO ~ I would add some soft outlines to the facial features such as the eyes and the mouth and odd other areas to even out the lines that show throughout the image.
