Description

Hokaaay, the big problem in the first version was that I tried to brighten it in PSP, making the image look overexposed, plus the skin texture was nowhere NEAR pale enough for the character. The second image had her skin almost perfect. She was the perfect vampire, BUT, as she was no longer a vamp, I still wanted just the faintest hint of color. In this image, I managed to get that. This is Camilla as I see her. As suggested in the comments on the 1st revision, I added a very dim backlight and got the effect I wanted. There is no postwork at all in this one. I didn't want to ruin it as postwork is not my strong suit. The teeth...ARGH, the TEETH! I tried everything and simply can't get them to look better than this. Suggestion? Info? I looked on the Forum and applied some of the info. With Fast Scatter, Ambient Occlusion, and Bump maps, I managed this. Any way to get them even better? Greywolf EDIT: Oh yes, as per another suggestion, I applied a hammered steel MAT to the gun barrels. Hope they look better. :)

the dim backlight reeeeeeeally strengthens this to perfection. Though still dark, your mysterious "dark" figure pops. Excellent work

Mmmmmmmmm dunno what to suggest about the teeth. Does it have to be canines? On the original vampires, i believe the front incisors(sp) were supposed to be the pointy ones. The gun barrels look great though.

lemur01, it actually depends on which vampire legend you listen to. Dracula had the canine fangs, and Nosferitu had the incisor fangs. Drac style looks cooler, and Nosferitu style looks MUCH creepier. :)

Alrighty--Kick-ass! This is good enough! The teeth don't need any more fiddling with. The barrels look like grimy handled metal like real weapon parts. Great work.

A great picture. I cannot really help with the teeth though, I think they do look good. The lighting is impressive, the character unique. Great.

I have just seen all images of this series, most not very sure what I could say about it. But today I can say, that from my point of view this is the best version yet!!

Great improvements to this portrait. The skin, gun, and sweater all look real now. At first the sweater looked like carbon fiber, but maybe that's wearable in the 27th century. :) As a personal preference only, the long lashes look a little doll-like to me, as if they were all trimmed to length instead of growing individually. I just prefer short lashes; don't know why... heh.

Subtle but nice changes - I agree that the backlight change was a good thing. Regarding the teeth, you might try just making them a tiny bit less white - go to Materials room, select the character's teeth material group, and insert a Color_math node before the image map plugged into Diffuse_Color like so. Subtract out maybe 10 or 20 Blue and see how it looks. You can PM me or post in the forum if this doesn't make any sense. Shape-wise, I think there is a little problem with Aiko in that her teeth seem to bend along with her upper lip for the smile morph; if that really is going on, you might try injecting V3's face morphs and seeing if the same thing happens, they should work fine (unimesh).

So much better and I think you have really improved the teeth :) :) the only other thing I think is that the eye looks a little large for the socket (if you look at her left eye (you will see where the eyelash ends at the left :) But I really like this very much
