At first glance, this infrared capture may seem unremarkable to you. Dramatic with high contrast perhaps, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Well, the remarkable part (for me anyway) is that what you are seeing is the reflection of the sky and trees in the waters of Lake Macy! I could not find the slightest ripple or imperfection that gave away the true nature of this image. There was always one or two (or twenty) in the other photos I took. If you see one, let me know. ;'] For those of you suspicious that it may not be a reflection, you can see another shot I took at the same time here:

Ooh! I love the pinkish tones to this one and, although completely undetectable, the title gave me a clue before seeing the picture! But you are quite right (as always!!) this is truly remarkable not just for the stillness of the water but by the awesome photography - yet agin. Great pic Kort - I'm in awe.....again!! xx

Gorgeous! If I would not know that it is a reflection on the water I could not realize that it is like it! It's a fantastic photography and unbelievable to see how calm the water is! Only the sun shows an exceeding brightness! Fantastic!!!

I'm not sure I totally buy into Borland's assertion; the inhabitants of Narnia or Middle Earth might beg to differ, as well. If you ever watch the squirrels in my neighborhood, you may also think likewise! ;] I'll admit, these particular trees look pretty (harmless). Nice silhouette effect, Kort!

Not a ripple! Before I read your notes I was going to say that I found it odd that even though the color was warm, the image had a coolness to it. Hard to tell it's a reflection since even the sun is poking through like normal. Very clever.
