Description
This is the center of the Dogwood blossom. The top picture is just after the petals opened, with all those center elements of the flower still closed. In the second picture, you can see how each one of those center elements when opened actually turn into tiny flowers.
Most amazing! As long as I've admired Dogwood blossoms, I never realized the center portion was actually a grouping of very small flowers.
