Sorry no picture!BIOHello! My name is Tunde King (and yes this is a girl name) I am living in Australia, on a Central coast between ocean and lake.
I use a canon 400d dslr with many lenses and filters, when editing cs3 is my choice.
I love to take picture of everything but my favorite subject(s) is food photography and still life. On holidays I do capture nature's beauty and I am not shy make abstarct pictures either.
I have no study of any kind in photography. Magazines and book and a very helpful photography forums lend a hand to be better and understanding taking a photograph.

Of couse " Bon appit" is an international "French , sorry ;-))))" expression which means that man wish, in that particular moment of sharing food together, a best and happy time .......... Your pict is great , I take it for my next lunch !

Great shot indeed - I can't wait for the rest of this series to follow - love the texture of the background and, is that a roll of butter on the fork?? if so, I love the texture of that too!! We also say "Bon Appetit" here in UK too, as Zorg1955 says, it's uesd internationally. xx

Tunde you shall be famous soon :-) A super shot here, I love curly butter! garlic butter even better ;-) I say "If you leave anything on that plate, David. I will not cook for you ever again.. " Only kidding.. Bon appetit is universal, I think. Cooking, eating together is so important to sharing life, a very social thing. Now you make me hungry and it is too late to eat ;-( Happy night, I really look forward to the rest of this series.. Your imagination is wonderful. I like that you got us all talking too. Hugs & Bon appetit for your dinner.. after blessing. Di.

Well - in Germany they say :"{Guten Appetit" and that means - it's really hard to translate - but I try: "Bon apetit"! In the States however - and there you are right - that habit is not very wide spread... Good shot!

at our table the first words spoken are generally "How was your day?" But as the food is placed on the plates, it is customery to say "thank you" to the one who cooked it. And oddly enough, there have been times when I pipe up with Bon Apetit as the first fork-full of food hits the lips. This is an excellent shot with great clarity and focus. I am anxious to see the series. I have thought about doing the same myself but have trouble finding original ideas...

Tasty and beautiful shot. It is my favorites subject and looking forward for more. Excellent job. Aloha

Sometimes at a family and/or friends dinner in someone's home, the person who cooked might say "dig in," or "help yourself," both of which would indicate the cook's wish that everyone get enough to eat. In order to accomplish this, everyone serves themselves. Nobody does this in a restaurant, of course. It's a very informal thing to say. I'm in the US, but it might even be more regional than national. (Somehow I have the idea this is not an East Coast sort of expression!)

What blessing? There was no blessing. I just said, "somebody pass the mashed potatoes," and we all started to eat! Heck, there's no gravitas anywhere in this country. People just eat, and let the chips fall where they may. Anyway, that is a real neat concept in that macro of yours, Tunde! Wonderful lighting and balance. What is that, a scalloped potato?

I hear people say it here in Texas but not real common.excellent food capture. did you have to sneak up on it?haha- eating is my second favorite thing to do and I have few words while eating. no room 'cause my mouth is full
jocko500
all we do is start eating. Just on tv they saysomething. after a few bites we say it good. [if it bad we just eat and say nothing]

Great idea and shot. I like the play of light and shadow. How KLaus "kjpweg" says, here in Germany we say "guten Appetit" before we begin to eat. :)
