Description
This is the third and probably the last of the images I will upload of my work done on the directory for the church. The committee was having trouble deciding on a cover for the directory but they had specific ideas & criteria in mind. One of them being that they felt it important to have the slogan for the year somewhere on the cover. The original slogan reads -
"Know the Heart of Christ.
See the face of Christ.
Be the hands of Christ."
So I just tweaked it to make it sound as if those goals were already accomplished and made a collage of parishioners to fit the theme. I changed it to imply that the community is currently "Being the hands of Christ, Seeing the face of Christ and Knowing the Heart of Christ" by their actions and role modeling in the photos. Since they were leaning toward the sepia tones, I came up with this.
I don't know if I would done it exactly this way - but hey... I wasn't calling all the shots! At least they liked it and it's published.

Beautiful solution... Having the varous elements "face" each other is always a good idea, I think. The colors draw everything together. Perfect. I'd say your Church was blessed when you stepped up to handle this task.

Oh this is wonderful!! I worked in the office of my church, Christ Lutheran, up in Fortuna for over 6 yrs... hardest job I've ever had LOL ---- soooo many bosses ;-) Now that I've started up my photography again I've been toying with the idea of doing something like this for them someday! This is lovely work!!!
