Description
Captured 4/15 with my Pentax SLR at the lovely Echo Park in downtown Los Angeles.
For some inexplicable reason, the entrance gate at the foot of the bridge, shown at the right of the photo, was locked so I couldn't cross over and meander about the island, which sits in the middle of the large lake. Would have made for some fine captures. Maybe it'll be open next time I go there. Nice palm trees, anyway.
Incidentally, Echo Park is one of Kimarie's favorite spots. She just told me I would have to go there in September if I wanted to shoot any lotus plants, which were conspicuous by their absence.
Thanks for dropping by, and for any kind comments you can post.

The colors are marvelous. I do like the tall trees being centered. Good photo.

Looks like a beautiful place to take a walk around, nice subject matter, it's a shame you didnt get the full height of the palms in the middle... although i suspect that 28mm is the widest the lens goes? :(

It certainly sounds like you visited at the wrong time, but still a lovely spot!
