I'm drooling as I type this:) totally rocking....is that a scratch built armour or did you ahem "adapt" it from something:)it's sleeker and more hi tech looking than the usual heavy metal suits of the marines.

It's the Fantasy armor for the Freak from RDNA. I used a Goth Metal texture for the black body. It gives it just the right reflective shine. The metal material is also from RDNA in their free section. The shoulders and helmet are from Obiwan's Space Marines and have my Black Templar texture applied. While I like the rest of the armor that comes with Obiwan's Space Marines, I find that I like a sleeker look to my marines. I believe it comes from appreciating the rather ornate looking armor in the official imagery from several of the Warhammer 40,000 codexes. There is a thread on the freepository section of the Daz3D site that highlights some Astartes armor specifically being created for the Freak by a rather talented modelered named Aquila77. I like most of the members of that thread are waiting in drooling anticipation for it's eventual completion and the subsequent unleashing of imagery here on Renderosity. If you are at all familiar with Warhammer 40,000 you will be excited over the fact that he may also be working on a Terminator class varient of the armor for the Freak as well. Oh yea this is very cool love the armer design the one with the helmet reminds me of a Comic book character I thought was soo cool named Baron Karsa from The Micronauts outstanding setting as well!
