A well captured macro, James. I like all that detail that the naked eye is just not up to caturing itself. I have seen very few bees this year, indeed, now that I think of it,I cannot quite remember any. A few large wasps in this past week, potentially causing havoc at church as they sought some warmth presumably, but no bees. With all the wet, dull weather ( March till now ) I suppose they have not had a good year at all. I did spend a few weeks in hospital in May, for major surgery, but it rained most days even then. According to the scientists Scotland had less sunshine these past few years than parts of Norway above the Arctic Circle. No wonder so many suffer from SAD here. I did encounter some sunshine, and a fair bit of rain and wild winds, in mid-August, while touring the Yorkshire Moors in a coach from Scarborough on England's North East coast. Luckily I did not need my passport, except to book the holiday.. ;o) There are few advantages to being a Scot in the 'United Kingdom', but that is one we still have. I see that you have snow in a few of your equine shots. Keep warm, my friend, and thanks again for reminding me, in your warming shot, that there is such a thing as summer, just that it didn't come visiting us here, this year.
