Description
This Rio Grande Diesel started service in 1955 and was retired in 1984. It traveled the scenic Moffat Tunnel Route through Colorado.

Great POV, colour, and a subject that is a favourite of mine. A Canadian Pacific version of this series of locomotives brought me across Canada to my new home in 1959 and I've always loved them. The diesels of the late fifties had far more "personality" than those of today.

Oh this gives me pangs of heartache. So many fallen flags. A beautiful shot. The F and E units are some of the most beautiful ever designed.
