Description

Its getting a little late and need to lead my son out from this lava field. This picture was taken approx 6:35 pm and the sun is going down fast. With no moon, it became a little more difficult to find my truck in the dark. And dark did come. We got out safely and son wants to do it again. Will take a flower break to rest a little. Aloha and thank you for following my lava series.

Selective colors by a fast setting sun. Was fun to see new creatives forms on a lava field captured by You companied by your Son. I am glad he like that lava walk. No it is time for some beauty from your land...flowers!

With the lava-pop-ups in this photo it looks even more dangerous to walk on. Glad you both made it back safely! =)

Great series; I imagine the lava would look exotic in the dark, but it's better safe in the truck than sorry.

Look at that glowing seam of molten earth. Amazing. This doesn't look like terrain I want to stumble across at night. Nice depth here.

I can't imagine walking around trying to identify what is molten and what is not... Nice shot.

Oh man...this one looks really cool. Sort of looks like something you'd see in a movie right before something blows! Glad it all worked out well for you. Look forward to the next series. :)

Oh my, the hills are alive with the heat and texture of lava! I like the thread of hot lava horizontally bisecting the image. A splendid series you've done on lava, especially under somewhat difficult conditions. Bravo!

always good to get back before dark! I also often was late and had to hurry but that also is not good because of the rocks on the trail. Good you made it in time and safe! ;o)
