Description

I took a look at the image and all of the comments and decided it needed some work. I tweaked the atmosphere, again, dropped the power on the interior lights, dropped the haze altogether, and added some displacement on the swans (although I can't see much of a difference there). I also changed the water material. The noise on the water is actually reflections because I upped the antialiasing on both the water and the farm house. So, dust off your Critique hats and let me know what you think. I take them all into account and these last ones resulted in a 13 hour render for this.

That render was definitely worth waiting 13 hrs. for. It's so good; it hurts!

Absolutely gorgeous. My only critical thought is that you might want to add a little haze or blur on the hill in the background to push it into the background. The house, trees, and swans are great.

I personally think the hills in the background look fine (don't kick me AnAardvark :P) With this lighting you can have clear view for a long distance. It looks perfect Victoria, beautiful work! :D Cheers!

Lovely place, almost want to step in and have a strole! Personaly I dont like "head on" view for anything, so I wish the swans on the water would turn a few degrees one way or another. The lights in the house are actually very nice and inviting I think the fact they are the same color as the sky is a bit confusing and make it look as though you can see through the house. (Great picture - doubt if these couple of small points would justify a re-render)

There is much I like....the composition, the lighting, the colours. The one thing that doesn't sit well for me is the scale of the flowering plants. Swans are pretty big birds so the flowers must be a huge new mutant primula variety to be that big ; ) That crit aside ,it is nonetheless a very charming scene.

What you've done with this image is wonderful. It just welcomes you in, the colors are rich, the setting serene. Lovely.

Lovely - but I do think that the scale of the plants including the flowers is too large. Swans are big birds :)

This image gives the feel of sunset while the prior one you did felt more like dawn. I think they would make a wonderful set of prints.

Wow, this is awesome I love it, I must say I prefer this one without the haze.

Very nice changes! Although I have to say, the waterline is still extremely sharp, and the house appears to have shadows cast on it by the trees, while the sun is rising from the background (I suspect you had a fill light there). Otherwise I have no complaints, very lovely.

I love this. If you were going for absolute realism, then please don't view this comment negatively: to me it looks charmingly like a photo of a diorama built out of scale models. Like the kinds you would build for a model train set. But I love those, and it gives the pic a child-like, whimsical quality. Excellent work.
