Description

Captured 4/24/07 around 7:45 AM, about two-thirds of a mile from my humble abode. Since this is April, with an abundance of beautiful flowers on display, I've been busy as the proverbial bee, photographing as many roses and other flowers as is humanly possible, all around the neighborhood, and in the early morning when the sun is relatively low in the sky and casting fantastic long shadows. I'm doing it now before the annual May Gray and June Gloom overcast sets in around here. In that case, the overcast doesn't dissipate until late in the morning or early afternoon. It's enough to ruin your day, that is, if you're into backlighting, sidelighting and shadow type photos. How about late in the day, you ask, when the sun is also low in the sky? Too much noise and traffic, and too many other things to do. Thanks for stopping by to see what's happening, and keep cool, physically and mentally.

You know me... Bloom Gloom is another way to say "higher state of awareness" for me - LOL! This is a very joyful and open capture of this rose. Amost a "sunrise service." Nice job.

Great POV, very interesting with the bright background. If you take 365 rose photos now, while the light is good, you can show us one every day until they all bloom again! :) (Sorry - that was quite selfish of me, wasn't it? I am unrepentant.)
