Description
Just to paraphrase the title of the best seller.
Captured 4/14/07 in lovely Echo Park in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
Gotta love these guys. Many of them stood or sat perfectly still, just like this, while you took their picture. I believe there is a tacit demarcation line separating them from us...cross it, and away they go!
Above all, you have to play it cool while in their presence, say nothing and stand perfectly still for a while, especially among pigeons, and kind of blend in with the territory, then furtively move in with your camera for everlasting captures.

Are you sure this thing had a bill or was he trying to disguise the fact he had lost it in a poker game the night before? nice shot with good lighting.

Richardphotos: If I had offered bread or some other goodie to this bird, I wouldn't have gotten this unique capture. And, as for my other shots, I didn't want to photograph them just in an eating and/or pecking pose.

I'm an accountant, so what this looks like to me is that your friend is trying to avoid a bill collector! It's really best to just pay up and avoid the hassle. (I'm mildly sorry for the above. I can't help myself sometimes! This is a great shot. Thanks for brightening my day!)
