Description

Switching gears over to the Disney series... --------------------------- For thousands more Disneyland photos, please check out DISNEY CAST MAGIC. --------------------------- The Empire has taken over Tomorrowland. The new 'Jedi Training Academy' show, which opened in October of 2006, is perhaps the best thing to come along to Disneyland in several years. The show allows for young 'padawans' (children under the age of 12) to step up, put on a Jedi cloak, and learn the ways of the force and how to handle a lightsaber. Once the young padawans in training have down a few lessons in a choreographed lightsaber attack, the Dark Side interrupts the training and the padawans are forced to fight, one at a time, either Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Here, Darth Vader has just stepped off of the 'throne' (a rising stage) as two stromtroopers take their place on either side of the stage to keep an eye on things.
