Description

Standing in Memphis Tennessee, looking West over the Mississippi River towards Arkansas. Taken about 5 hours ago. I went down to check out the status on the construction of the Beale Street Music Festival. It starts a week from today. Check it Out! It's going well. The festival next week is a musical orgasm; three days of musical mayhem. Located at Tom Lee Park right at the foot of Beale Street & the home of the blues - the home of Rock 'n Roll, and the TRUE home of Southern Soul, the sweetest music ever recorded. Also, we're the home of some serious country too (Johnny Cash!). The list goes on and on. This is the view of the river from the actual festival location, taken a few minutes after sunset. If you can, come experience the three day extravaganza next weekend. You will not regret it. It's the best music festival in the United States today, IMHO.

It's lovely. I like the way you've taken ownership of Memphis... Florida-boy, no more! Well, you've been there a long time, so it makes sense. Northeast Florida is far less picturesque today... Georgia is on fire and the smoke has been blowing our way for days. Today, just being outside makes my eyes sting. I'll take your fiery waterview anytime over this! Beautiful picture... truly.
