Description
These two shots of Kenny Wayne Shepherd were taken last Saturday at the Beale Street Music Festival. This was right around dusk, so it's a little grainy.
Currently 29 years old, Kenny has been playing on stage since he was 13 and hails from Shererport, Louisiana. He became a known "star" in the 90's, but then backed off some after that.
Now in 2007, his long hair may be gone, but his basic natural raw blues ability to smoke the guitar is stronger than ever.
I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more from him in the coming years.

I would love to go to the Beale street music festival again! The year I went it flooded but I got to see the Foo Fighters!! :-)
