Description

After 35 hours with rendering on my crappy computer I call it finished. Tried to get rid of the noice by doing postwork in gimp. Selective gaussian blur and resizing a tiny bit. Modelled in Blender and rendered in Indigo 0.7

I really like the way this has come together. The room beyond the kitchen is familiar from other images. I know what's around the corner in the part of the kitchen I can't see from here. The totally different feel of the lighting in the living room vs. the lighting in the kitchen is so realistic! The continuity of the whole thing makes me smile. Very good work!

hmm - I think I never will give indigo a try. It's a pity that the image is still noisy - after rendering 35 hours ....

The rendering is still noicy cause of my shitty computer. Amd Athlon 2200+ with 1 gig of ram. Looking forward to upgrade my rig to a quad core during the summer if all goes allright.

35 hrs. sounds way, way too long, maybe put a crank on the side of that machine & turn it faster!...really my worstest was a high rez big render n' it took a long 2hrs 45min. & that machine was older & less than yours. something don't seem right...nice work by the way.

Don't know what renderer you used dsigns. But indigo is a unbiased renderer that render untils you stop. It keeps on going like the duracell bunny. and its really slow. the more complex the scene and bigger the pic is the longer the render.
