Description
Captured 4/24/07 around 7:50 AM, not in the desert, but approximately one half mile from my humble residence.
Since this was taken by a point and shoot camera, and wasn't a macro shot, extensive postwork was necessary to eliminate a huge tree trunk and bush in the background which created an annoying distraction. In order to display all blue sky as a backdrop, not only did I have to clear out the general area, but also had to meticulously clone around the spikes all around the upper rim of the main cactus. And there wasn't that much blue sky to begin with. But I'm a real stickler with this kind of stuff.
Ergo, long live postwork!!!
Thanks for the look-see, and be careful what you touch!

Oh yes, very nice picture on this cactus. I like the fruit on this cactus, I don't know if you know but, the fruit is so delicious... Good day and hugs :)

Well your post work was excellently done and did leave the best for the display and composition, well done.

"real stickler" Your comments are even better than the photo, no offense. ;'] You should have issued a warning though, it skewered a few of my pixels, rendering my $1000+ moniter useless for the delicate work I do. I guess I'll have to get the boss to buy me a new one and then bring this little 23 incher home with me. I see that spikey things are becoming a trend...I better jump on the band wagon.
