That's a great photo of Venice, they don't show the nitty gritty in the brouchures, but this is how I imagine it, wonderful shot A.

Difficult to get both shadow and highlight detail but i think you have got the best the situation had to offer without resorting to HDR ;) Interesting shot, i might have cropped from the top right slightly to put the bridge slightly more off centre to improve the compo, but that is my taste.

There is a time to modernize. How to find the workmen in such an old dark space. My first thought was in antithesis with theme. "Behold! a light from yonder window glows!" then the comment that some think Shakespeare's sonnets were actually first written in Italian. Actually I am a bit dour after learning about Peggy Guggenheim's accusation of her first husband Laurence Aspen in her divorce. I once receive the gist of it in a court paper served in 1978. I never appeared to answer as it was too far off the mark. Venice is not my haunt.

awesome light/shadow play! deserves to be seen in the zoomed in version. lot's of cool little details to see. i like the idea of seeing it as the crow flies, did you employe one to get this wonderful shot?
