Description
High in the Cairngorm mountain range this isolated castle has seen its share of action. When government troops arrived to remove the Jacobites they had already fled, leaving behind the castle cat to greet the new tenants.
I used no postwork effects on this, a few miles from the castle a large granite carved stone has been placed.Drilled into the stone are two spyholes with an invitation to ponder the scenes revealed. I was pleasantly surprised to note the care with which the design had been carried out.If you are following the steep climbing road towards the Lecht ski centre look for the lay bye on the left and you will see the stone adjacent.

Nice view...

Creative use of the available framing. A lovely landscape and interesting story to go along with it.

What a very diverse landscape this is, looking so fertile in the foreground and quite barren as it recedes. Love the framing you have used. Well done!
