Description

I have never seen this tree at this time of year. I always had assumed it was dead and now here it is covered with leaves! Lake District, Claife Heights,England.

It's a miracle I'll tell ya! I wonder what brought it down anyway. Very interesting. Excellent shot. Aloha

One of the many mysteries of nature, just when you thought the tree was dead it grows leaves again. What a vast beautiful place you have shown us here in this excellent capture.

I have a large oak in my yard that was pushed over by a hurricane in 2000. I cut the trunk off about 3 foot above the base figuring it was a goner. It now has a limb that sprouted near the cut that is 8 foot tall and 4 inches in diameter. If I had just left it alone I too may have had a horizontal tree. Thanks for sharing.

It won't have leaves for long in this condition! Was there a big storm? Or did the sheep push it over? Or is it just resting? Love the picture - perfect composition.

great find, maybe you need to pull the tree back up, otherwise get a shovel and cover the roots with earth so it can live :)

Good capture, Rozanne. Up in Glesca it would have been named a 'paralytic tree', i.e. had far too much to drink. Nice to see that it is still 'hingin in therr' Hoping that you are having a good weekend, Since we are back to the usual, seasonal grey overcast and drizzle, maybe Cataluyna is back to sun and more sun. Regards, John.
