Description
The shuttle Venture sits ready under the "Arch" at the beginning of the runway (also called the GRAVstrip) where only moments earlier the platform carrier lowered its lift cradle setting the shuttle onto the ground and then rolled away. The Arch has now finished charging its massive electromagnetic pads which provide the shuttles lift during launch. The Launch clock has now started and count down has officially begun...
All models (save for a couple of small shapes I borrowed from the library) and composition by me using Bryce 6.1 and Photoshop CS - Thank you for viewing and as always comments questions and critiques are welcome.

The lighting in this scene is (in my opinion) by far its most impressive feature. I would love to know how you achieved its softness and quality of depth. I often find working in Bryce so frustrating so as to be reluctant to post anything, but learning something about the creation of this piece would be an asset
