Ultra Fractal and PSP 7.
Most of the layers utilize Dave Makin's formulas... Orbital Waves and Orbitals+ in MMF3.ucl. Many thanks, Dave, for these awesome coloring algorithms! :)
Humongous thanks to all of you guys and gals for your very kind feedback on "Pearl Essence"... you've made my week! :)
And thank you for taking the time to have a gander at this one. It really needs to be viewed at full size... if ya'll have that extra click in you... ;)

Such a lot happened in 1963 and I love how you have put this together. A lovely result.

This is beautiful, and brought back a lot of memories. I was buying pots and pans for my upcoming wedding the day President Kennedy was shot. My mom and I were in a store when the salesman ask if we had heard the news (we hadn't). I also remember that Beatle invasion from England; I'm a bigger fan of them now than I was back then. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Beautiful as always, although 1962 would have been more fitting for me LOL

OK, now you're going to find out how old everyone is! That's the year I got out of high school, but I was young for my class. Interesting choice of lyrics, I remember the song well and yes, we were all obsessed with the Beatles then. Great spiral design, the scripts flow very nicely on it.

You forgot to mention the premier of Doctor Who. EXTERMINATE! And ofcoarse, I was born in 1963 so it has to be mostly a good year.

Quite an amazing image.

What a very unique fractal! I love the aging of it with the memories of yester year! Fantastic work!

I love the way you worked in so many of the events of 1963 in this. Absolutely exquisite!

Lesley Gore! I'm a bubble-gum rocker from way back- loved her "Johnny" songs! I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing, when the news about President Kennedy was announced over the intercom in our high school auditorium. That day I thought the world was coming to an end..and it did, in a sense; never, ever the same again. Such an incredibly beautiful, evocative image, and your work is outstanding.

wonderfully done !

The best fractal composition I've seen in a long time -and much more than a fractal too! My compliments on the idea, the emotions you manage to stir and the execution.

Absolutel excellent!

This is very interesting creation...beautiful.

the wonderful romantic fractal illustrate very well the text you,ve amazingly used in this stunning remembrance. I do remember 1963 as the coldest winter ever here in Holland, I walked with my fianc on thick ice on the North Sea (I've fotographs of it!) RS

I remember 1963. I was incacerated in an old fashioned English boarding school, aged12/13. Not much from the outside world filtered through those thick victorian portals, but Kennedys assasination did. i remember we were having breakfast in the 'refectory' and i was eating porridge when it was announced!......... oh and i was vaguely aware of this group from 'up north' called weirdly 'The Beatles' lol

A very original idea, beautifully executed, I love the clever old parchment effect. Well done! I was just a child at the time and had no idea who Kennedy was but I do vividly remember the effect the news had on my parents when they heard the news.

You've outdone yourself - the parchment look, subtle color changes and intriguing composite of 1963 is standing-ovation awesome. The whole work flows beautifully.

This is so wonderful, Helen! Boy, it sure does bring back memories. I lived in England when I was 11 and 12. My Father was in the Air Force. When we returned to the States and the Beatles arrived, a British friend of our family who was teaching at a school for handicapped girls told her students that her American friend was a Beatles fan. Those sweet girls went home and took mementos off thier bulletin boards, just for me, and they sent them to me! I still have them and they now look a lot like the script in your fractal...yellowed and old. Thanks for the memories, Helen!

This is superb Helen! I was 13 at the time and still living in Wyoming. What a time for teenage girls and music. Excellent work. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. Bunny

I was teaching electronics in the Army that year and recall the JFK news coming over the radio during a lab.... Wonderful conception and execution of a cool idea. BTW, ZoomIt is a great little program to easily see the zoomed image.
